The Opera Studio of the Maskarade Opera Festival in Santander, founded by Cristina Domínguez Sar in 2022, aims to nurture the talent of lyrical singers of all ages. Each year, it presents a repertoire featuring the involvement of prominent professionals in the genre as instructors, providing participants with the opportunity to experience the entire process of opera production.

The primary goal is to offer a high-level artistic experience that serves as both professional and educational immersion for young singers, equipping them for the world of music and aiding in the launch of their careers. It is designed for candidates with exceptional vocal and artistic abilities, as well as a strong technical foundation.

Each season, a public call will be announced at the national and international levels to select voices of the highest excellence and adaptability to the various characters in the chosen production. For the upcoming season, we have chosen the opera 'La Bohème,' in commemoration of the centenary of the death of the renowned Italian composer Giacomo Puccini.
